Set up of "Central processing centre' for PLI/RPLI at each Head Post Office - Roles and Responsibilities of various staff

You aware that  implementation of 'Core Insurance Solution' (CIS) and set-up of 'Central Processing Centre' (CPC) for Postal Life Insurance  & RPLI at all Head Post Offices is going on and CPCs started functioning in some Circles.

On implementation of 'CIS' system and setting up of CPCs of PLI & RPLI at HOs, the entire processing of new proposals and various service requests have to be done in CPCs itself. The role of Divisional, Regional and Circle Offices in processing of cases manually has been eliminated and now, competent authorities  have to approve cases, both new proposals & claims as per limits prescribed, in the 'CIS' system itself.

3. In 'CIS' system various new terms like Indexer, Data Entry Operator, Quality Checker, Approver etc. are used. Although, those terms with roles are clarified during the trainings & workshops, still there was some confusion in the roles & responsibilities and functions to be performed at various levels.
Directorate of Postal Life Insurance vide its letter dated 24.09.2015 has defined the roles and responsibilities of the various officials deployed at Central Processing Centres set up at Head Post Offices.

Roles & Responsibilities of various officials & officers on implementation

of 'Core Insurance Solution' and set-up of 'Central Processing Centre' for
