Sub: Carving out the number of posts of Postmaster grade III- reg.

Ref: CO letter No ESA/1-123/A/Dlgs dated 08.12.2010

Vide CO memo No. referred above the 8 IP line HSG I posts available in the circle have been identified as Grade III postmasters which is in contravention of the Dte Memo No  4-17/2008-SPB-II dated 22.11.2010 and memo No 13-2/2010-P.E.I dated 25.11.2010. The cadre of Postmasters namely Grade I, II and III are created by carving out posts in the existing General line posts in LSG/HSG II / HSG I.

The issue has been brought to the notice of DG Posts by our then General Secretary vide his letter No CHQ/IPASP/PMC/2010 dated 23.12.2010.

Since all these 8 posts in our circle belongs to IP line and the ASP’s are being posted in these offices, it is requested to drop these posts from the identified list referred above and the posts may be made available to IP line officers please.
