                The 37th Biennial Conference of All India Association of Inspectors and Assistant Superintendents, Posts was held on 28th & 29th January 2012 at the conference hall of Karnataka State Government Employees Association, Cubbon Park, Bangaluru.  Around 234 delegates from 19 Circles and IPs& ASPs in large number from Karnataka and neighbouring Circles attended the conference. Our renowned leaders Sri.S.Samuel, Ex-General Secretary, Sri.P.R.Satyanarayanan, Ex-CHQ President  and Sri.G.P.Lahiri, Ex-CHQ President graced the occasion. Their participation in deliberation and valuable suggestion and advice gave in-depth understanding of the subject matter and enlightened our members particularly in the matter related to merger of IP-ASP posts.
                In the open session Mrs. Hilda Abraham was the Chief Guest. In her message, the Chief PMG assured to use her good offices in upgrading the grade pay of IP to Rs 4600/- Sri. Prakash Director Postal Services also participated and stressed the need to upgrade the grade pay of IP on par with Inspectors of other central government department and analogous cadres, make the cadre more attractive and prevent IP migration to other departments.
                Sri.Prabhakar Prasad, Vice President, KSGEA appreciated the  good services being done by post offices and the role played by Public Services International in providing quality public services. Members from unions affiliated to Public Services International attended the conference. Smt. T.V.Sundari Assistant General Secretary of our Association and Chairperson of Project Working Group PSI and Deputy Superintendent of Post Offices, Trivandrum North Division participated. She appreciated the role played by women members and the importance of gender equality. To provide women representation, Ms.Usha ASP Belgaum has been elected as Organising Circle secretary.
                I am very obliged and humbled to say that 36th Karnataka Circle Conference held in the same venue on 27th January 2012,    I have been elected as Circle Secretary Karnataka Circle. I am very thankful to each every member.  I understand the faith reposed on me and will surely rise up to your expectation with your co-operation.
                The Reception Committee had made a wonderful arrangement for boarding and lodging of Circle Secretaries, delegates, guests and special invitees from various states.  Souvenir Committee has brought out a beautiful Souvenir to commemorate the holding of conference. Many of you have contributed articles and advertisement to the souvenir. I expressed my gratitude for the same. I take this opportunity to take my predecessors and respectful leaders Sri. Dinesh Khare ex- CHQ President , Sri Naveen Chandar ex-Circle Secretary and presently CHQ Vice-President, Sri Jayanthkumar M ex-office bearer and presently AD(FS) CO Bangalore and Sri Joseph Rodrigues treasurer and all the members of Karnataka  for their contribution towards the growth of our Association.
