          REVISED PROPOSAL
Post of Inspector,Posts may be merged withh the post of Asstt. Supdt. Posts with GP of Rs.4600/-with nomenclature as Asstt. Supdt. Posts as the Department has already merged the post of Inspector, MMS with the post of Asstt. Manager, MMS with the GP of Rs. 4600/- with nomenclature as Asstt. Manager, MMS. In the event of merger with upgraded GP of Rs. 4600/-, the Association is agreeable for withdrawal of Gazettted status granted to the post of Asstt. Supdt. Posts vide Postal Directorate memo. no. 25-18/2000-PE dated 28.07.2005. However, it is made clear that Gazetted status to the post of ASP should be withdrawn only after merger and grant of GP of Rs. 4600/- to the merged post simultaneously.

  1. Sir,
It is very wise decision to merge IP and ASP posts, which will benefit both IPs and ASPs and will remove the disparity. Also , as we all be one many discrriminations will vanish themselves & will be more united.
It will be very kind on ASPs part if they agree to this decision of CHQ .

  2. We should also think of starting pay for grade pay 4600 .

At present it is Rs 12500 for direct recruits only ss per sixth pay commission report. If same is made available promoted officers also then it will be justice for all.

As direct IP will getting 12500+4600=17100 as starting pay and a PA Passed IP exam in immediately after 5 years get only 9300+4200 =13400 only

If this can also be addressed at this point it is a real benifit

other wise it is a great loss and in-justice for departmental PAs who are passed IP's

Hope others will also react to this comment who are sufferers

  4. It is a good decision to merge the IP and ASP cadre with the nomencultare as "ASP" by surrending the Gazetted status. Actually, what is the benefits earned by ASPOs by taking the Gazetted status?
    1. Signed in Green ink
    2. Getting the reimbursement of News Paper bill at the rate of Rs.100 to Rs.120 month. It works out to Rs.1200 to Rs.1500 per year.
    3. Loosing the PL Bonus worth of Rs.7000/- every year.
Instead of this, by surrendering the Gazetted status, IP & ASP cadre may be merged as "ASP" only with the GP of Rs.4600/-. From which, the PL bonus will be applicable to all and tranfer options will be more and also the pay can be upgraded by MACP after completion of 10/20/30 years.
Hence, GS may kindly be submitted the proposal at an earliest please.

  10. in all other departments also there is a difference in entry pay if u r recruited directly and if u r a promotee. its nothing new. be it income tax, ag's office or any other dept. for that matter. we should not feel bad about it. gp of 4600 will also save one macp of us. so be united. dnt feel like departmental or direct. its a humble request.

  13. If the Proposed merger meterialised, 141 HSG Posts(presently managed by IP line officials) which are going to General line may be retained by our IP/ASP cadre.

    ReplyDelete
  14. Sorry friend, if the proposed merger took place, it is easy for the department to transfer those 141 HSG posts to the general line as there will be no chance to hold a HSG post by the IP. Moreover, we will lose the reason "it is a promotional post to IP" to fight the transfer of these posts to genl line if the merger is materialized. ASP from TN
